The Golden Egg Project

Art. Soul. Legacy.

I accompany women and couples with unfulfilled fertility desires through one of the deepest transformational phases of their lives – through art, psychology, and identity work.At the center is not the optimization of the body, but the healing of the soul.

Golden Egg Successful Wonder Fertility

Are you longing for a child, but the miracle has not arrived? You are not alone. One in six couples experiences involuntary childlessness.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately one in six people of reproductive age worldwide suffers from infertility – either temporarily or permanently.

Parallel to this crisis, another societal shift is emerging: the number of single women is rising significantly: A study by Morgan Stanley projects that by 2030, approximately 45% of women aged 25 to 44 will be unmarried and childless.

In a world still shaped by traditional narratives of motherhood and family as life’s central purpose, this reality demands new perspectives. Single, childless women over 40 are no longer an exception or a deviation — they are becoming a defining voice of our time. But the cultural frameworks are still missing. There are too few role models for a fulfilled, meaningful life beyond motherhood.

"We must be willing to let go of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."

Joseph Campbell

About Me

The Moment of Truth:
I thought I had more time. I didn’t.

For so many years, I celebrated being a free, independent woman. I lived between art residencies in New York, shows in London, painting under vast skies, chasing beauty, creating moments. I was in love with a life of freedom, depth, and creative success.Somewhere in the background, like a whisper, lived the quiet idea of motherhood. "One day," I thought. Like many women do. But how long can "one day" wait? Had I delayed the milestone of motherhood? Or had I simply trusted that it would arrive when the time was right? Then came the moment of truth. In my early thirties, I walked into the University Hospital in Zurich, just to get some information: I was curious about egg freezing. Social freezing, as they call it. I thought I was ahead of the curve. I was there to prepare, not to panic. But the doctor looked at my results and said something that hit like thunder: "You don’t have as much time as you think. Your ovarian reserve is already below average. We need to act quickly."That was the beginning.Over the following years, I went through multiple rounds of social egg freezing. Injections. Hormone crashes. Monitoring. Extracting potential futures from my body and storing them away. Hoping that one day, when I meet the right partner, I will be ready. That I will still have a choice. But time passed. No perfect partner. No perfect moment. And slowly, the dream I had quietly carried began to change. In 2023, I was part of a feminist artist residency in a French castle. It was there, in silence and creation, that The Golden Egg Project was born. I began painting my series about fertility. Dot by dot, I created a visual language for longing, for potential, for what is sacred and unseen. The Golden Egg became more than a symbol of fertility. It became a symbol of identity. Of transformation. Of healing. This project is not about optimizing yourself to squeeze a child into a closing timeline. It's not about freezing eggs to beat the clock. It's not about solo motherhood as a quick fix. It's about something deeper: The sacred process of becoming who you truly are.Through psychological sessions and symbolic work, I guide women and couples to explore the space between longing and letting go. Between love and loss. Between dreams and identity.I believe we need new narratives. And we need role models who show that a meaningful life doesn't begin or end with motherhood. That fulfillment can take many forms.

Let’s stop calling life without children "Plan B."
Let’s make it your "Plan A".

Viktoria Koestler, Psychologist, M.Sc.

At the heart of my work lies Identity Work — a process-centered, soul-driven approach designed to help individuals and couples reconnect with their inner truth and create clarity around their life path, whether it includes children or not.

Around this core, I integrate scientifically grounded tools and therapeutic techniques from evidence-based psychology and deep emotional exploration. This framework supports my clients in building stronger, more conscious relationships — both with themselves and with their partners.

I hold a Master of Science in Psychology and I have a background in Business Psychology. As a certified Meditation Teacher trained by the FitMedi Academy in Munich, I integrate mindfulness and embodied presence into my sessions.

Art Series: The Golden Egg Project

The Golden Egg Project is a deeply personal and symbolic art series I created during an artist residency following multiple rounds of egg freezing.
It was born not just from the physical experience — but from the emotional landscape that surrounded it: hope, pressure, silence, resilience, grief, and possibility.
Each artwork in the series features a variation of the golden egg — not as a biological object, but as a symbol of sacred potential.
The egg, for me, became a vessel:
for life, for transformation, for the unknown.
For everything that didn’t happen — and everything that still could.
